According to sources within Apple’s supply chain, a bigger iPhone is on track to launch during the first half of the new year. The handset, which is said to feature a processor manufactured by TSMC using a 20nm process, could be available as early May 2014.
An iPhone with a larger display size has been talked about since before the launch of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, but industry buzz has since picked up. Apple is said to be testing phones with displays measuring up to six inches. One report claims Apple will launch both a 4.7-inch an 5.5-inch iPhone next year. That report indicated a release for the second half of the year, which would be more in keeping with Apple’s pattern of recent handset launches.

While Digitimes has its sources among the various industry players in and around Taiwan, their track record is shoddy at best. Take these claims as rumor for now.
