How does $340 for a brand-new MacBoor Air sound? What about the same price direct from Apple? If you live in Japan, that might not be too far-fetched.

As part of a yearly tradition in that country, Apple offers what they call ‘Lucky Bags.’ For $340, shoppers can pick up a sealed bag full of goodies, including at least one major piece of hardware and the accessories to go with it. This year, that includes the possibility of the aforementioned 11-inch MacBook Air, an iPad Air, or an iPad mini (non-Retina).

Of the four possibilities, even the one of lowest value — the iPod nano — comes as a decent value. That bag includes a pair of JayBird BlueBuds X headphones (a $170 value), a Logitech Ultimate Ear Mobile Boombox, and more.

Common items among the bunch include a special edition Incase backpack valued at $100 and an exclusive Apple T-shirt. Needless to say, anyone that got their hands on one of this year’s bags didn’t walk away disappointed.
