Apple has been pretty resistant to hopping on the NFC bandwagon, and that means iPhone users, for once, have been left out in the cold. The ISIS mobile payments platform, the first NFC-based payment system to be supported across multiple major carriers, relies on NFC to complete transactions. Starting to get the picture?

According to a new leak obtained by Engadget, however, it looks like a workaround will soon be available to the Apple loyal. Incipio’s upcoming Cashwrap case will feature a built-in secure NFC chip and supporting mobile app to make mobile payments possible with the iPhone. Priced at $70, the case is so far known to be coming to AT&T — an ISIS partner — stores. In fact, it’s apparently already in their inventory.

The Cashwrap case has not seen an official announcement and therefor isn’t official available just yet, but every indication is that it will be launching soon.
