According to a roundup of sales estimates by Fortune, Apple likely sold right around 25 million iPads in the final quarter of 2013. The number represents a 10 percent climb in sales from the same time last year.

45 analysts were surveyed, providing estimates ranging from 21 million units sold on the low end to a top figure 28 million. Analysts had to take into account the late launch of the iPad Air — and even later launch of the iPad mini with Retina display — when deducing a final figure.

For the same period last year, analysts predicted Apple had sold 24 million iPads. When Apple released official figures for the holiday quarter of 2012, the actual number was slightly lower at 22.86 million.

The iPad is estimated to generate $2 of every $10 Apple earns. Apple will report official earnings figures for the period in question on Monday, January 27th.
