AT&T has issued another volley in the war amongst US carriers to win over mobile users. Customers opening or adding a new line will receive a $100 credit toward their wireless bill. That’s $100 per line of service for new and existing customers.

Adding a new tablet equals a $100 credit. Adding a new smartphone equals $100. Adding both equals $200 worth of statement credit. Users coming from another carrier can go ahead and add in the up to $450 AT&T will provide to pay off the early termination fees of its competitors.

The deal runs through the end of March and customers will still need to pay an activation fee per line. In today’s increasingly competitive wireless market, it might not be the best time to be a wireless provider. It sure is a good time to be a wireless customer, though.
