If you use Gmail for iOS, you might want to check your spam and trash folders for messages that might have wound up there unintentionally. Starting last night, a notification has been appearing within the app warning users that a bug had caused actions performed to one message to be applied to another.
The problem can be traced to the period of January 15th through 22nd and occurred only on a handful of Gmail platforms. Users viewing Gmail in a mobile browser or in offline mode were also affected.
Google is urging users to scour their spam and trash folders before February 14th for any messages that should not be there.
