Evernote wasn’t about to let SwiftKey Note steal the spotlight today when it comes to note-taking apps. True, the latter syncs with Evernote and utilizes the awesome predictive keyboard developed by SwiftKey, but it isn’t as full-fledged. And it doesn’t offer the level of customization just introduced as part of a new iOS app update.

The new app update claims to allow a “seemingly-infinite” amount of customization, from homescreen theme to what information is offered and how it is displayed. A number of other options, such as displaying sync status, can also be chosen.

Beyond customization abilities and bug fixes, the app has improved business card scanning and now can add information directly to your phone’s contacts. Evernote has also worked hard to make the app faster and more responsive.

The new update is available for free from the App Store now. More information can be found at Evernote’s blog post on the matter, which is conveniently linked below.
