Everyone knows the guy with the Spotify Premium account can be a savior if a party is lacking tunes. The guy with a Spotify Premium app and Pacemaker for iPad? He can really kick it up a notch. Introduced today, the app is a joint effort that sees the first iPad DJ app with official Spotify support.
We’ve seen Spotify’s library hacked into other DJ apps along the way, but none have done it all that well. And just as Spotify makes it super easy to find the perfect song for the moment, Pacemaker introduces an intuitive, simple interface that makes it easy to be a true mixmaster. For those with those rare record crate releases that don’t have a home in Spotify? Pacemaker supports local MP3s, as well, mixing them seamlessly with streamed music.
Pacemaker is a free download, but it requires a Premium Spotify account to unlock its full potential. Find it in the App Store or iTunes now.
