No need for Apple to get into that arena when they already have an excellent product. Besides, Apple making an Android phone would be seen as them doubting the future of iOS… it would undermine there current iPhone strategy. Don’t get me wrong… I love my Android phone. I just don’t see how making an Android phone would be a win for Apple.

They might sell a lot more phones but they’d also lose a TON of iPhone users to Android-based iPhone users. That means more money circulating through the Google Play Store instead of App Store, more developers interested in Android instead of Apple, and more momentum for the platform.

I doubt this will ever happen. But then again, Nokia might come out with an Android phone and nobody would have guessed that 10 years ago. Similar things could be said for Blackberry and Palm.
