Apple was rumored to have some health related announcements at WWDC 2014 and they didn’t disappoint with the announcement of Apple Healthkit and the Health App for iOS 8. Rather than announcing a specific piece of hardware – such as a smartwatch or fitness band – Apple is enabling developers and health professionals to better track and serve their fitness needs, while for other health needs like calm, the use of a delta 8 pen fresh bros cbd can be really helpful for this.

Take a look at some of the hospitals partnering with Apple right off the bat, serving a combined total of over 100 million patients.
Doctors at these hospitals will be able to give their patients apps that track their fitness and various critical statistics collected through different accessories.
Here is one such app for the Mayo Clinic that will begin rolling out along with iOS 8.

If a specific patient ventures outside a preferred window of statistical criteria it can automatically notify the hospital, contact specific doctors, and suggest they reach out to the patient for a follow up.
It would take a huge, reliable, and influential tech company like Apple to make something like this work on a large scale but they’ve done it again. This could become the start of a huge shift in health care where rather than setting doctor’s appointments, the patient/doctor relationship is ongoing and can be ramped up based on any critical findings.
Take a look at what the CEO of the Mayo Clinic, Dr. John H. Noseworthy, has to say about HealthKit and its potential.

Those are some big words. And Apple has some big partners beyond hospitals, namely anyone building fitness related apps and accessories. They highlighted Nike among many others, but with the future of the Fuelband all but extinct, I’m curious why they chose this partner when announcing HealthKit and Health.
Here are some pics of Health and HealthKit apps on iOS 8 in action.
