Lines forming outside 5th Avenue Apple Store ahead of iPhone 6 launch

In hopes of beating the record of waiting 18 days in line, there are eager iPhone 6 customers already camping outside the 5th Avenue Apple Store in New York.  Most of the time individuals who participate in such activities are doing so for notoriety of some sort–and this year is no different.  Besides visions of breaking longevity records, some show up with the idea of profiting from arriving early.  Being first in line is a “big” deal to many, especially when you are talking about having the opportunity to be the first to purchase the yet to be announced iPhone 6.

For some, it’s an opportunity to make some cool cash, whether it be to sell their place in line, or perhaps to make money standing inline for someone else until we get closer to the actual launch date.  For others, it’s an opportunity to garner attention to their iPhone accessory or app just prior to millions of people buying a new iPhone.  Whatever the reason, however crazy it sounds to most people with jobs and families, one thing stunts like these do is raise the excitement level that much more for the most anticipated iPhone release in history.
