One of the new feature tweaks in OS X Yosemite is a new dark mode. I’m on the fence about whether or not I like it, but I wanted to share with our readers in case you haven’t got a chance to try it yet. Just follow the steps below and let us know what you think in the comments section.
Open up System Preferences in your Finder
Once in Systems, select General
In the General Settings check the box that turns on the Dark Menu and Dock
Once the Dark mode is selected your menu bar and dock will now be darker. However, they will still exhibit the same opaque characteristics that the lighter, default version does, but now with a more “late night” friendly mode. Now, when you open up any of your menu bars the drop down lists will also be dark.
What do you think? Normal above–dark below. Is this a tweak that you will use–especially at night or when using your computer in a dark setting.
