Apple Reverses Another Controversial App Store Decision, For The Second Time in Two Weeks

Right around two weeks after apologizing for ever approving the horrific Baby Shaker app, and reversing that decision after tons of public outcry, Apple are at it again.  Today they have apparently reversed their very controversial “ and heavily criticized “ decision to reject an update to Nine Inch Nails ‘ NIN Access app. 

According to a report at Engadget Mobile, an *unchanged* version of the update has now been approved.

Reznor followed-up with this, "The NIN iPhone app is unchanged, the "issues" seem to have been resolved." Looks like Apple caved under intense criticism.

The update had previously been rejected for going against the ‘objectionable content ‘ section of the SDK agreement, based on some profane language used in a song that was contained in a podcast that could be streamed from within the app.

Apps and app updates are continually getting rejected, re-submitted, and reviewed again in the App Store “ but it does seem like these two cases show that Apple is hearing the uproar created by their decisions, and is backtracking under the pressure.  Hopefully that also means they ‘re being forced to focus more on these issues, and ups the pressure to fix their whole process and their policies in these areas
