My wife and I have been with them since Cingular days (and still have lots of lovely rollover minutes) and haven't come across that, but we've always been wanting to renew and so forth. I think all the big carriers have their (bad) moments, especially on the customer service side of things.

I've never tried T-Mobile – it's good to hear they do so well in those areas …

I dropped Cingular many years ago. They don't still pull the “We didn't know you did not want to renew your contract so we renewed it for you; now you have to pay us the ETF to get out of your contract” trick do they?

I'm in Austin, Tx – and have really almost never seen issues with service, and have always got great 3G signal. Touch wood 🙂

I'm still using the original iPhone with them. If only their network supported iPhone 3G, I wouldn't have to switch to AT&T when the next iPhone comes out. A comment on TUAW had me lol, that said it was kind of sad that a carrier that doesn't even offer the iPhone supports it better than AT&T. I hope, for my sake, that AT&T really isn't as bad as many people say.
