This certainly isn’t an insightful observation, but it’s something I only confirmed recently. Before that, I’d simply thought it was a bug and was too busy at work to really test things out. I’m talking about offline text note editing in Evernote.
Sometimes I can’t even get the edit button to work, and when it does work the text may not necessarily be appended to the note I’m trying to edit. I keep a list of movies I want to watch in Evernote and it’s written in plain text without any formatting. However, when I try to add to it while offline the app tells me that it contains some sort of data (pic, audio, rich text) that can’t be edited on an iPhone, so the text I write will be added as a note at the bottom.
Unfortunately, this isn’t entirely true either. The text does appear there after I re-sync the note, but it only shows up in edit mode.
I’m so close to my ultimate note-taking system, Evernote. Just a little bit more on the offline support, please!
