Woohoo! I own Appigo’s Notebook now!

Except I didn ‘t mean to buy the app in the first place. I got confused and downloaded Notebook because I was looking to re-try another app, Notebooks. The two applications have pretty different icons, but I thought it was another one of those cases where the logo had changed during an update (for the record, I definitely like Notebook ‘s icon more). I know I could also have checked the developer name, but I was excited and just wanted to try the app again.

What I ‘m really getting at here is that it ‘s pretty silly not to have any sort of indicator for which apps I already own. Suddenly being informed that I own the application after I buy the thing is too little too late, since it can also mean I wake up on a Tuesday morning with a $5 bill because the app is actually the plural form of ‘Notebook ‘. The App Store interface is tied to an iTunes account anyway, and there ‘s obviously some record of whether or not an item has been purchased since we get those notifications (albeit after the fact). So why the heck can ‘t we get some sort of green colour scheme around app names that we own? A check mark? Heck, even a worm. I don ‘t care — anything to tell me I own the thing already!

Ah well, I guess I ‘ll have to check this Notebook app out then. No offense to the fine folk at Appigo. I just wasn ‘t really looking for another note-taking program at the moment.
