Charperdu – yup, already agreed on the point about sync needing to be two-way. That is coming in a future update to Notes Pro apparently. Honestly hadn't noticed the Evernote drawback – and for me, it has more than enough powerful features to compensate. Have heard good things about Appigo's app before – glad you're enjoying it.

I am going to delete "notes pro" from my iPod touch. I also took "evernote" off because you can't really edit an existing note created in a browser or a desktop app because of it's "formatting attributes", and you can't specify a "text only" format in other platforms. Seriously not useful for me. I currently use Appigo "notebook". Eventhough it sync to toodledo and not google. It syncs correctly, maintain a simple "text only" format. And has a search function.

Hi Patrickj

>You're one of the developers of RainbowNote?

Yeah, exactly. I'm one of them.

If you are interested in RainbowNote, I can send you a promotional code.

I like to hear your opinion about it. 🙂

Akemi. Fair point – until they get a two-way exchange of notes (supposed to happen in next update) it is not really sync, it is 'saving notes to' Google Docs or something. You're one of the developers of RainbowNote?

Hi Patrickj,

I think the word "sync" in more serious way.

If one note app syncs to Googld Docs, it should retrieve changes from server.

So just writing back to Google Docs is not sync as you mentioned in your article.

That's why I didn't use the word "sync" in the application description of RainbowNote.

Maybe I'll take another look at more notes apps in future.

I use it everyday. Clean UI with auto sync.

Just had a glance at its App Store page, and it seems more like Iconic Notes at first look – colorful papers and such, nothing like Notes Pro. Also it mentions 'backup' to Google Docs via export to a spreadhseet and then restoring etc – no mention of sync – does not sound like it matches ease of sync of Notes Pro – could be wrong, that's the impression I got from a quick look though …

It can export and import documents from Google Docs for off-line editing ( 2 ways!! ).

It's better than Notes Pro I believe.
