Used it with great success on a recent holiday to Venice to keep in touch with colleagues and family back at home.

So … Agile Messenger … lets see what that means in an amusing way. According to thefreedictionary.com The word "Agile" is defined as:

1. Characterized by quickness, lightness, and ease of movement; nimble.
2. Mentally quick or alert: an agile mind.

So how do I match up/fare with those definitions when considering this self portrait photo I tried to take outside St Mark's Basilica, Venice, Italy

<img src="http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/7761/44863939.jpg">

1 … yes well … maybe I was a little too agile, quickness – a little too quick? lightness – guess I should learn to hold my iPhone still, but it is a nice light device; ease of movement – maybe I moved a little too easily before the image was captured
2. Mentally quick or alert … and an agile mind – based on the size of my forehead in the photo I think I qualify there.

Just incase it wasn't clear, I moved my iPhone by mistake as I took the picture, thus the slightly blurred picture and my massive looking forehead.

Thanks Agile Messenger for being such a great app !!!

So, with all that said, having a one stop shop for all my local, national and international communication needs would make my life so much easier.

P.S. Would this also reduce the amount of times people change their numbers and forget to tell me I wonder? For some reason that happens all the time. I can't imagine why!

P.P.S. Note to self, by stocks in companies that make string. With this economic downturn I could be onto something here.

P.P.P.S. Speak to therapist about squirrel, sister, string, bike, wall issue, there may be some residual emotions still outstanding.

THE END

Moving on, (something else that my therapist often tells me to do), so I have many people all over the world to keep in touch with, I know this isn't a popularity contest, so why am I bringing this up? Well, all these friends, family, colleagues and acquaintances of mine are on different networks or use different platforms and I don't want to have to use all of them, I want a 1 stop shop that caters for them all. That’s where Agile Messenger would come in, see, I told you it was relevant.

There was a time when I thought all of my family and friends could hook up an elaborate setup of yogurt pots and string to keep communication costs down, but after a nasty incident involving a squirrel, my sister, a bike, the fore mentioned string and a wall we had to scrap that idea. Not to mention moving to American would have required an awfully long piece of string!

After 35 years of living in England I up'd sticks and moved to Ponca City, OK. Now how is this relevant to this competition you may ask, and rightly so. Well, as you can imagine, being a popular person, as I am, well at least that's what my therapist tells me, I have many people to keep in touch with. Some are here in Ponca City, (wife and children, and yes, I do like to keep in touch with my wife), some on the East & West coast of this fair land, (is it just me or are these time-zones confusing?), many back 'over the pond', (OK so the Atlantic is slightly bigger than a pond and I don't know many ponds with aircraft at the bottom of them but us Brits are kooky like that and like to refer to the Atlantic as a pond), and now with my new job I also have to communicate with Indians, (not the Native American variety that are found in considerable numbers around here in Oklahoma, but the ones living in India where there night is our day and vice-versa.)

…to be continued…

The best part about Agile is not the IM on my iPhone but the ability to stay in touch constantly on the go. Wherever I am, I know I'm not alone as long as I have Agile!

My current project at work has me (based in the U.S.) communicating with colleagues in New York, Paris, Sao Paulo, and Tokyo. Currently, we rely on phone calls and Skype but I find IM to be the best solution and not everyone is on Skype. Agile Messenger would fit the bill perfectly for this and most of my projects as I'm away from my computer many of the times when someone from another country wants to get a hold of me. I imagine this is where I'd rely on the IM to email feature quite a bit. Perhaps most importantly though is the always-on aspect so I don't miss something important. Agile Messenger looks like the powerful app that I need to be successful at my job. Communication is key and IM on my iPhone would make that possible.

I'd crack like the screen of my iPhone when dropped on the pavement. I'd snap like a twig. I'd be so fragile I'd… wait. Agile? really? I your sure? ummm…. Agile huh? I'll get back to you.

I run a dual monitor setup, with my main monitor usually being used for my primary task, whether thats a full-screen Photoshop, code editor, or game. My other monitor is usually used for my e-mail client and/or a web browser, for easy reference.

I use Agile Messenger on my iPhone for all my instant messaging needs, freeing me of the need to run it on one of my two monitors, which are already busy doing other things. In a way, it's almost a third monitor.

Are you kidding? Wow! I would absolutely love to use AgileMessenger. With always on connectivity, I'll never miss another message again! Apple should really consider implementing AgileMessenger as part of their default application suite for iPhones. Hey, has it been used in the iPhone commercials yet? Why not? With voice and picture messaging, too! That brings a whole new coolness factor to my iPhone that I could really shock my friends with. So I say, IM with AgileMessenger or die!
