Entaum – I've definitely seen some of the form-filling weirdness in Safari , and some general lockups, though rarely when using the Phone app – had not noticed the other two though – 3G one sounds especially nasty …

– 3G loss bug is still there but less frequent (if you pass through a no-signal area and return you loose 3G/Edge permanently even when you strat getting stron cell signal. Reset fixes this)
– YouTube over Wifi STILL not fixed! Ever noticed how SLOW YouTube loads over wifi when compared to your desktop or 3G? The issue only happens with G networks, try setting your wifi router to B-Only mode and watch how it gets way faster than on G mode!
– Form filling on safari is messed up. When you click on it, the page centers on whole a different area of the page hidding the form completely. Simple to fix I guess but anoying….
– General lockups specially during calls where you can't hang-up… probably related to the memory leaks.

Cheers,

And yeah, the memory leaks are, as I said, the worst I've ever seen on the iPhone – and they have seemed to get worse in the last couple betas, not a great omen.

As for the account here, you do, but I have changed the comments system used on the site (a couple times now). This has been a 'not fun' process to say the least, but I hope it will evntuall lead to having a better and more useful system – basically, you need to sign up with Intense Debate in order to then have one first comment approved and then have subsequent ones sail through without moderation – see this post for details:

Sorry for the inconvenience on this …

To me, that's just poor communication on their part… the feature is still there, just implemented differently.

The worst part about the beta5 is the memory leaks. They slow the phone down to a crawl way too often, and it simply didn't do that for me on beta3… even when Free Memory was showing VERY low memory (and often), it still ran smoothly. I hope they get that feeling back.

And why don't I have an account here anymore??
