I like your point about how Apple updates, and I like ti as well. I reckon knowing a lot of this stuff in advance is just how the world goes these days, at least if you spend a lot of time online – still makes it a little anti-climactic though.

I don't think we heard real details on processor and RAM – still need to see those I think …

I've had the 3.0 software since it was released to developers, The only feature that's been missing is MMS, but I've waited this long so I guess another month won't kill me. I'm very excited about the 3GS, I like how Apple updates, I like the analogy of thinking of it like a car company..most people can't tell the difference between an 09 Impala and a '10 Impala.. Unless you really really just know your stuff and look closely, that's what their doing with iPhones. Nothing drastic this soon, give it a few more years and they'll blow us away with something new. The video is past due but a great feature, hopefully they'll implement Facebook upload feature?! Faster processor/RAM was expected and welcomed with open arms. Compass, eh who cares?! I think all of the hoopla this year spoiled it for me.. I basically knew everything that was coming weeks/months ago, except the Voice Controls, that is awesome and a great addition! Can't wait to see it in real world action!! Engadget has some great hands on of the new 3GS.
