iPhone 3.0 Jailbroken

In an extremely short amount of time, the recently released iPhone 3.0 software has been jailbroken.

Let’s start from start. Jailbreaking, for those that don’t know, allows users to gain access to areas of the iPhone Apple didn’t intend for you to see/use. In short, you can do things like install non-App store apps, or even change cellular carriers and other things of the sort.

Well, iPhone 3.0 has been jailbroken by Dev-Team with the latest version of PwnageTool(Does not work with the new iPhone 3G S). From the reports we’re getting (thanks, Killian) it seems to be working well. This is a remarkable turn around time.

If you do decide to try and jailbreak your iPhone or iPod Touch, be warned there are risks, primarily a risk of bricking your device. This of course is not sanctioned by Apple, and is in violation of your terms of agreement. You have been warned.
