Jukebox Music Quiz for iPhone

I must confess – I ‘m no gamer. Which is a blessing in disguise for me cos ‘ when I DO get into games I become a die-hard addict (yes, I HAVE spent a lifetime on Tetris and Sudoku). I usually resist, but not always.

Still, when the latest offering by Swipe Interactive was released this past week “ Jukebox Music Quiz, I was lured in by the premise “ identfying songs in my music library as quickly as possible – and curious to see how they implemented the idea that Apple had already introduced to click wheel iPods via the Music Quiz.

So what ‘s different?

Well, the interface is really fancy “ the app has a cool wooden panel look and features album artwork. Quite appealing for the eyes.

You can opt to test yourself by a single artist only or multiple. Beyond that you have the usual statistics and high scores (which can be stored) but also a World Ranking where you can compare your results with others.

What ‘s missing? A how-to would have been helpful in the beginning. But its omission could mean that developers simply have lots of faith in our intuition. 🙂

Updates promise different difficulty settings and the ability to turn off artwork.

So will I play or will I go? I must say I do like it when developers deliver an aesthetic uncluttered look for their apps, and Jukebox is definitely eye candy. I ‘d say the game itself will nicely fill the need for a bit of fun and distraction on-the-go.

Jukebox Music Quix is 3.0 tested and is available on the App Store for € 0.79 / $ 0.99.
