Weather, right where you are

A new weather app, EasyWeather, has recently arrived in the app store.

As there are tons of other weather apps available, some published by weather channels, its a fairly tough category to stand out in. The main feature of this app is its tie-in with your iPhone ‘s GPS, giving you the weather where you are, right now.

I tried it in a few different locations in the UK, around London, up in Oxford and down south near Brighton. Each time it found my location accurately and gave me up to date weather for the spot I was in. It provided up to the minute temperature, humidity, rain and sunshine/cloud for a 4 day period for my current location.

Unfortunately, where this app lacks is in its configurability, and overall aesthetic value. Currently, it only supports temperatures in Fahrenheit and the graphics don ‘t match up to other weather apps including Apple ‘s own built in one.

If you ‘re looking for a simple, GPS-enabled weather service and you ‘re content with Fahrenheit, then this app will do the job. But if you ‘re after a bit more flexibility and content, at its price point of $0.99/£0.59, there are others definitely worth considering.
