It is an excellent alternative to Bodyguardz and Zagg. I had a real issue with paying $25 for a piece of plastic that cost less than $0.01 to produce. I like the feel and it has done a great job of protecting my iPhone. Anyway, you will have all the same issues with installation, and yes the corners will get dusty and eventually peel up, and yes, the vinyl does develop a blue ting. I snipped the peeling corners off as they got too bad, but eventually the sides started peeling, too. So, after 18 months, I am only just now replacing mine. What am I getting – the exact same thing for $5.99 and free shipping.

I managed to cut costs by getting my 3G protector shipped from gadgetshieldz for under $7. After all, we are talking about plastic protection here…why pay $25 for that? I've been using mine for a couple of weeks now and I found my protection to be just as good as the bodyguardz my friend got for his IPhone. In fact, he likes mine 'cause I got a better deal.

so sorry to hear that! I think it might actually be cheaper for you to replace those jeans than all of the accessories you carry your iPhone in, though 😛 Or maybe just Colorware it to blue and be done 😉

@Larry and Brian
after finishing this review a friend of mine told me about BestSkinsEver's back plate. It doesn't bother with corners — it just covers the back of the iPhone so that you can lay it down on a table without scratching it up. I might try that next. At least htat one won't really need a professional installation, since it's a lot like a screen protector.

They really are a pain in the butt and if these kiosks guarantee a perfect installation, I would pay for for it as well. Like Larry said, I first tried Invisishield and did not like the texture. Too sticky. Made swiping the screen difficult. I am now using Bodyguardz and like the screen protector much more. Much better texture. I had major problems with the corners on the back, but now I have a Switcheasy case so that doesn't really matter. Curious to know how long people go between switching the screen protectors. My Bodyguardz has only been on about a month. Although far from ugly looking, there are various marks in it where i pushed too hard while cleaning or something else made a bit of an indentation. All these very minor marks become very visible when trying to use the phone outside in the sunlight.

I have found that Ghost Armor works best with fitting the iPhone (even the corners) and the screen is much cleaner and clearer. There are a couple kiosks in local malls, so paying $35 for the first installation is worth it.
