In a recent profit announcement, Nintendo seems to have fallen in sales. They announced that their quarterly profits have fallen by an astounding 66 percent in comparison to the same quarter last year. They expect that this downward trend will continue into 2010.

Nintendo thinks that these games put them in direct competition with the gaming giant and the portable gaming market. Nintendo has even cited Apple as being more of a direct competitor with their portable products than Sony and their PSP.
But it isnt all Apple’s fault. Nintendo has also recongnized that the falling profits from the Wii may, in fact, be blamed on the falling Yen and a depressed economy.
