Apple to Introduce 8GB iPhone 3GS?

Boy Genius Report has received tips suggesting that Apple’s canadian wireless partner, Rogers Wireless, is in the process of shipping an 8GB iPhone 3GS model to their retail stores. This report also includes some convincing photos of an internal memo to Rogers Wireless employees:

Boy Genius Report:

We’ve had a number of unconfirmed tips over the last few days about this so we figured we’d post it? apparently it seems that Rogers in Canada is in the process of shipping iPhone 3GS 8GB flavor handsets to stores. Again, unconfirmed, no idea on pricing (we have no clue where to start on that) but we felt it was newsworthy to at least let you guys know what we’re hearing.

The following screenshots seem to indicate that Rogers Wireless was waiting for the 8GB iPhone 3G innovatory to run out before putting the 8GB iPhone 3GS on sale.
I’ll buy this rumor. It wouldn’t be unheard of, and I could totally see this being announced during the iPod refresh. Remember the original iPhone’s price drop two years ago?
