Cnet is reporting that Apple is once again offering matte displays for 15-inch MacBook Pros. The option costs $50 extra, and is available on build to order models.
There had been rumblings of Apple expanding their matte screen option beyond the 17-inch MacBook Pro models. The release of this option may be due to complaints from professionals that count on reliable color matching, and anti-glare. A matte screen would solve these problems.
I have to say, I just bought a 13-inch MacBook Pro, and I don’t see anything wrong with the glossy screens. That said, I’m not a professional and I may not find problems with the screens that photographers or graphic designers might.
