The “not Roadmap” for Things, task manager for Mac and iPhone

There was a cool update on the Things blog recently talking about, well, upcoming things. They’re planning new features for the Mac and iPhone task managers, the most exciting of which is probably over-the-air (OTA) syncing. Things can currently only sync over a local wi-fi connection, so both devices have to be on the same network. There weren’t too many details about the OTA solution, but I know they don’t want it to have to tie into a MobileMe account, since not everyone has one. The blog mentions other features, but since they aren’t iPhone-specific I won’t mention them here.

I figure Things Touch roadmap might excite you more:

  • 1.4: Repeating tasks, global search, landscape mode
  • 1.5: Push notifications, polish
  • 1.6: People support

Aha! Repeating tasks in 1.4! I don’t really know if it needs polish in 1.5, though. It still looks really shiny on my iPhone. But then again, it’s still a new copy. If you want to read the whole blog post, I’ve linked to it right here.
