Urbanspoon “ the iPhone app that helps you choose a restaurant in your area “ has been a staple on my iPhones for ages.  It ‘s just had an update that adds a few clever new features, including:

  • Restaurant hours
  • Skip the GPS wait and use last location
  • Filter by distance, popularity, no chains, and the meal you ‘re looking for

Small but nice changes I ‘d say.  I especially like the ability to filter out chains.

This latest version is in the App Store now, and it remains a free app.
