Well, they don’t actually put the people on the back of your device (they wouldn’t fit, obviously), but they do put pictures of them onto M3 vinyl so that they stick really, really well to the iPhone. The product doesn’t offer any major level of protection, but it will make the back of your device basically scratch-proof. The concept is very similar to Domeskin, but Musicskins look a little different, lacks a front panel, and offer a lot more choice. The pictures look pretty awesome on the site, although I didn’t really find any of my favourite bands on there. It’s more than just music, though: there are models, submitted art, and pictures of US President Barack Obama (yes, he’s one of the categories) to choose from as well.
If nothing catches your fancy, you can even create your own skin via image upload. I’m hoping to check this particular feature out in a review for the site, so stay tuned for possible updates.
Each iPhone skin (fits 2G, 3G/s) looks to cost around $15, but I’ll throw in a link to the website for free.
