Boasting some superb cover art (shown in the screencap above, and done by Paul Sizer) and chock full of superb-sounding content to match, Steampunk Tales # 2 has hit the App Store today.
The Steampunk Tales series of apps is touted as featuring ‘first run, original pulp fiction at unbelievable value ‘. I thoroughly enjoyed Steampunk Tales # 1 “ and reviewed it HERE. It was my introduction to a new genre of literature, and I like it tons.
I believe the Steampunk Tales apps do offer outstanding original content with a very nice pricing model – just $1.99 for each monthly issue. Here ‘s a little more on what this newest issue has to offer:
Coming off of widespread critical acclaim for their debut issue, Steampulp Publishing, LLC has released Steampunk Tales #2, an electronic pulp-fiction magazine. Emulating the style of the pulp adventure magazines of the 1920s and ’30s, Steampunk Tales is a monthly publication that contains first-run, original fiction written by an A+ list of award-winning authors. Issue #2 contains 10 stories, each running between 4,000 to 11,000 words. Authors contributing to issue #2 include David Wellington, Phil Brucato, Jillian Venters, Brenda Cooper, G. D. Falksen and more. The cover art was created by popular artist Paul Sizer.
It ‘s great to see Issue 2 ‘hit the stands ‘. I ‘ve got it installed already and can ‘t wait to dive into it tonight. When you have a chance, give it a look in the App Store HERE. If you like it, you can purchase back issues from within the app as well.
