Exactly, it would be total chaos to have no review process and imagine the rubbish that would be coming through. It is bad enough already with some of the useless apps in there. I really dont understand why Apple cannot hire more people to review. Its not as if they are a bit short of a few benjamins these days.

I think Apple like being in a controlling position and this is what they are in with the process. Although most apps get through I think the fact that have the power to deny entrance into the store satisfies these need for control.

Scrapping it altogether would just be too chaotic I think; also just never going to happen I feel. Doing something about giving priority to updates does seem feasible to me though.

Updates should be let through automatically. If a developer takes advantage of this to sneak in disallowed content, then take diciplinary action.

I could see scraping it all together. Short of malicious code, I'd prefer speed over bug free
