I agree with BigBoss on this one. Not sure why you say it's so much harder to get an app into Cydia.

Sure it is. If you want to make an app and get it onto Cydia just submit it to me here: http://thebigboss.org/hosting-repository/submit-y
In most cases your app will be live in 24 hours.

Also, the amount of developers are very very low. Really, the only "real" apps that you are going to get on cydia, are the ones that are not allowed in the app store. These apps take a while to build…

Ive also been surprised each time I've seen numbers showing how many users are still not on 3.x.

Hi Ouriel – yeah, I'm sure that's got to be a big factor for a lot of devs.

I think another issue to those already mentioned is the number of iPhone/iTouch operating systems. There seem to be a lot of people still running 2.x and a lot of apps haven't been updated to support 3.0.

You might get your developer program access cancelled and that also means losing the hundreds of dollars that your apps are making on the app store with little effort.

i wonder whether this is because more and more developer have their attention captured on creating "legit" iphone apps on the app store simply because for the same effort the reward is potentially bigger
