This isn ‘t normally the sort of app I ‘d find interesting, but this one drew my interest for some reason. It ‘s just called Spider, and it does pretty much just what you might expect from it. It simulates a spider moving round your iPhone ‘s screen.
The app interested me enough to install it, try it out a little, and show it to my daughter. We both found it a good little bit of entertainment.
There are no unexpected bells or whistles to the app. All you get is the spider moving around your screen, sometimes off the edge and out of site even, though it ‘ll soon come back. You can ‘interact ‘ with it a little “ as it will scurry away if you tap your finger near it.
The best thing about the app is that the spider looks very real, and its movements seem quite realistic.
You can also change the background “ by choosing from nine different images.
This is not an app that I ‘m going to keep around for long, or one that ‘s likely to keep your interest for more than a short while “ but within those parameters, it ‘s a nicely done little app. It would be even nicer, given its limitations, if it was free.
You can find the Spider app in the App Store, priced at $0.99
