Yet another example of a problem from Apple that's been solved by the jailbreak community.

There's a nifty little plugin called Quickscroll that you can install from the Cydia store that enables a systemwide scroll bar with a triple tap on the screen.

Just another example of something that Apple needs to "borrow" for their next version of firmware. But of course they probably never will. Because that would make too much sense.

I'd be up for trying something like that, too, as long as it was left as an option. I already have enough trouble with the accelerometer tilting Safari portrait and then landscape and then portrait again.

One thing that also might be cool, but maybe not practical, would be tilt scrolling. Once you've started scrolling, let the accelerometer to the work depending on how much you tilt.

One of the first things I noticed with my first iPhone (3G) was that I wish it had a scroll bar. Especially for reading something like a blog!
