In reply to sfmitch. Maybe, but I've been jailbreaking and going through the updates dance ever since back in firmware 1.x days. I understand how it works. I decided I wanted to see app organizing in iTunes, badly enough to forego the jailbreak for, what I expect will be, a short time.

Too late now.. If he upgraded to 3.1 on an iPhone 3GS he's traded in his jailbreak ability potentially forever.. Bad move…
