Another day, another email from iTunes. between receipts and promo mails, iTunes and I are becoming very solid pen pals lately. :) Today ‘s email was one that focuses entirely on App Store goodies, which is nice to see for an apps junkie like me.
It ‘s titled ‘App Store Spotlight “ App Store Essentials ‘ and focuses on showing off a number of ‘essential ‘ apps in a few categories. Today ‘s categories included football, which is topical with both the NCAA and the NFL having kicked off their seasons recently, and Going Green, which should always be topical.
I ‘m in favor of anything that gives good apps “ and apps from some of the small to medium developers (or let ‘s just say ‘not the big powerhouses) “ a bit of a showcase; and while the football apps shown today are mostly from the usual suspects, the Go Green section seems like it highlights apps from a good cross-section of not-so-giant publishers.
Nice to see that.
