I don't think Apple's problem with Google Voice is with any potential confusion. It is that it 'duplicates functionality' provided by core apps on the phone – i.e. the phone app. They had the same issue with Google Latitiude, with Maps being the 'duplicated' app. Of course there are 101 examples of other apps that duplicate built-in apps functionality and have been in the App Store happily for ages. Another great example of the fascinating inconsistency in the store. 🙂

I love my iPhone & I also love Google Voice. Why can't they just get along? The whole idea that Google Voice or Latitude will confuse us mere users is ridiculous. I am tired of Apple thinking we are a bunch of dumb users and we couldn't figure out the difference. I am just hoping Google is working on an updated web app for the iPhone SOON!!!!
