I think that's a little bit of an unfair way to judge things. Many developers have switched from the JB side to the App Store, and I don't see how you can blame them when the market is astronomically larger than the jailbreak arena. I certainly feel as if any jailbreak app I've ever purchased came with more risks than a stock app, because I know I'm doing something Apple is going to mess with and try to break. I also think it's perfectly understandable that the developers do not want to risk their App Store status by continuing to operate in Cydia, and that they've made a reasonable and genuine effort to work with their JB customers.

Snapture is no longer supporting Cydia licenses. To get Snapture updates, you’d need to get the Apple version which requires yet another license purchase (although currently marketed as discounted). I think it is a rip off to say the least that they will fail to continue to support their cydia licenses and provided updates that would work on the 3GS. People running on 3.0 won’t be able to buy it anyway because it only works on the 3.1 release. If you have a JB’d iphone, you likely won’t want to upgrade to 3.1 only to pay them for a program you had previously purchased in full. Scumbags.
