Just got back a few hours ago from a short break down to the coast here in Texas “ to Port Aransas to be precise. It was a great little break “ my daughter ‘s first time seeing the sea (or the Gulf anyway), and getting in it, and collecting sea shells, making sandcastles, and all that jazz. She loved it “ from Minute 1 “ and it was great to see her having a blast.
My wife and I got to swim in a body of water bigger than a pool or lake for the first time in several years “ and it was superb. It was at the absolute perfect temperature “ warm enough to be easy to get into, but still cold enough to be very refreshing. And body-surfing level waves every day. Zero rain, mostly sunny the whole time and not too blazing hot either.
I even managed to stay (almost) entirely offline and disconnected the whole time. And more importantly, feel relaxed and not even think about it. Never even thought about MMS until a friend sent me a test pic message on our drive back home.
Anyway, back now “ and hoping to resume ‘normal service ‘ tomorrow. If any of you have a chance to visit Port Aransas, I highly recommend it “ especially the lovely Sandcastle condominiums, right on the beachfront. We ‘ve been there twice now, and had an excellent experience both times.
