Or could you put a card on the back of the phone and then put the case on? I ask this because I dont want to have to keep my license on the main pocket as I never use it but need to carry it?

I guess I did forget to mention the snugness. How the heck could I have done that?!

Here's the deal – with one card you end up with some movement of the card, but honestly I don't think you have to worry about it falling out. I put the case upside down and shook it to try and get the card to come out… it didn't.

With 2-3 cards the fit is real snug and there's almost no chance of them coming out without you sliding them out.

Overall – no concerns about card loss.

Thanks for the review, been waiting on this one since your original post. I love that shiny look but I totally agree with you. Not worth the increased risk of dropping it! But hey, you didn't address what my main concern was about this case…the security(snugness) of the cards in the case. I'm not concerned about someone stealing them, cuz like you, my phone is 99.9% of the time in arms reach. But I would be more worried about a card inadvertently falling out. How was the fit and feel for the cards? Thanks 🙂

The back side where the IDs go is about as thick as the Slider. The other benefit to the I.D. case is it doesn't have the lip around the screen like the slider does.

If you're looking for a less slippy feeling on the phone all around then I would suggest a skin from bodyGaurdz or InvisibleShield, but they come at the cost of not being able to use a case at all.

It looks nice and all that. My main concern is the size, or should I say thickness in my hand?

I wish I could have my iPhone with a slipless gel or sorts on the back of it, or all over so it doesn't slip/drop from my hands. At present I'm using an Incase Slider, but this case-mate does look good…
