What is it with all of these sniper apps? I’m a gamer and I play First Person Shooters all the time, but I just don’t get a kick out of loading an app up, pointing the iPhone camera at my friend, and pulling a trigger. Besides the fact that I find it a little distasteful…what’s the point, exactly?
I’d probably have dismissed iSheriff right off the bat had I not seen the cool intro video. It’s cowboys and iPhones — what more could you ask for? I actually thought it was a video for a cowboy-themed holster. Imagine my surprise then when the app had nothing to do with quick-draws or duels. The app icon is of a target locked in the crosshairs, and the gun inside the app is a rifle (which has nothing to do with the duel I’m linking to). I think you can probably skip iSheriff altogether if you’ve used any sort of “sniper” app before, but the video is kinda cool.
