SimplyTweet, The Hardest Working Twitter App in Show Biz, Gets Another Update

SimplyTweet Update

SimplyTweet, whose developers work so hard at bringing out frequent updates that it must be considered the James Brown of iPhone Twitter apps, has got another fairly large update this week “ to Version 2.4.

This latest update (as is often the case with SimplyTweet) includes a slew of minor enhancements and fixes (many of which sound like response to user feedback).

Here is just some of what ‘s been added, in addition to bug fixes, in this update:

  • Allow forced refresh in content pickers
  • When displaying photos from the result of photo search, the original tweet can now be opened.
  • Add button to toggle scope search bar
  • Change syntax of links appended from “ saving couple of characters
  • Multiple drafts “ notes can also be used as drafts for tweets and DMs!
  • Add support for configuring buttons on swipe menu
  • Add favoriting button option to swipe menu
  • Add retweet as option for swipe menu
  • Add timestamp format d.M
  • Add option to disable landscape mode

SimplyTweet is not my favorite Twitter app, but it ‘s one of a small handful I like enough to keep on my ‘social ‘ home screen. My review of it, from just a couple of months back, can be found HERE.

You can grab the latest version of SimplyTweet in the App Store now, priced at $4.99 for its full version which includes all current features and push notifications.  There is also a Lite (free) version that lacks push, themes and other features found in the full version.
