Plus, I concur with the strange routes that it has one take – I'm having similar experiences, as well as it seemingly preferring to route using major roads/highways (video at http://www.jrin.net/2009_10_09/mapquest-navigator… ). It also only seems to download a limited surrounding area of your route, so you have to get quite a bit off route for it to recalculate a new route based on where you currently are, as opposed to it trying to get you back on the original route
