This implementation has been a resounding success, overall, and […]

I practically live in my email and twitter, but more and more is becoming twitter DMs and mentions. I prefer the short quick exchanges of twitter over the longer email that takes more thought and form. I have several push email accounts, all pushing instantaneously, and actually feel antsy when I have to wait a couple minutes for Gmail to auto-check every 15 minutes! LOL! I love the twitter push, facebook push, news alerts push, weather alerts push, etc. Maybe I have push overload, but I like having info pushed to me all day long. Keeps me in the loop on so many things. Very productive! 😀

Glad to hear it's working well for you. What ws your previous favorite Twitter app?

I still use push – for mentions and DMs – but I debate whether to continue with it nearly every day. I feel very similarly to you in terms of how much of a distraction this becomes. I find the more I use push via several different apps, the more I realize there are only very few that I really want push from.

Foremost is the way the app is constructed so that you can use it for really basic Twitter functionality, but that it also has many deeper layers for advanced or power users. Intuitive, layered and just flat out the new standard for Twitter apps on the iPhone.

Every time I think about it, I think about email productivity tips recommending to only check email a couple times daily rather than refreshing every second. Notifications should be used for things that truly are urgent and important so as to avoid interrupting yourself all throughout the day. Otherwise, all I'll get done everyday is just read email, rss, and twitter messages.

LOL. I think the 'overwhelmed' feeling is one you can get from most of the full-featured Twitter apps by now. They all pack loads and loads of fucncionality in.

I like the app. One thing I may have against it is that there is too much. Yes I know, we like all the great features and everything but after trying it for a few minutes I feel a little overwhelmed.
Also, a lot of the features available already were in Echofon.

Oops – my bad mate. I tend to hate dark themes, so I may have been blind to that comment 🙂

I really liked having the dark!

Other than that I'm really loving nearly everything about the app – Heck of a job @atebits!
