The developers over at ALK Technologies Ltd have just released an update to the popular CoPilot iPhone navigation software. The update includes a number of changes most requested by the users. You will remember we reviewed CoPilot, a little over a month ago and gave it a big thumbs up. Aside from the annoying keyboard layout and some minor stability problems it was a real hit.

Now, to improve on an already brilliant product, they have listened to ours and others requests and released an update which includes

  • In-app safety camera database downloads
  • iPhone keyboard. The #1 requested feature from CoPilot Live iPhone customers so far. You can now use the iPhone ‘s own keyboard to enter destinations and other text
  • Improved contacts destination entry
  • Smart call handling remembers your destination after a phone call
  • Improved GPS performance in walking mode
  • Ability for customers to switch-off menu beeps and mute voice instructions
  • Additional stability and performance improvements

To quote Michael Kornhauser, Vice President and Managing Director, CoPilot Solutions at ALK (as per the press release) “This latest update is another step in our quest to provide the best possible iPhone GPS navigation experience at a realistic price. And there ‘s more to come – stand by as we continue to add great new features to CoPilot Live on all supported platforms thanks to our ongoing development program and fantastic customer feedback.”

The CoPilot app’s price remains unchanged on the App Store at £25.99 and it ‘s a free update for existing customers.
