
AppleInsider is reporting that they have received information suggesting that the upcoming iMac revision will not include Blu-Ray drives as previously reported. Additionally, this report claims that these new iMacs may be the first computers to offer Intel’s Core i7 “Clarksfield” mobile processor line.
More specifically, people close to the Cupertino-based company have picked up on chatter suggesting that earlier plans to offer Blu-ray technology on the new all-in-one desktops may have been pulled back just before the systems went into product last month.
We have heard similar reports, that the iMac would have a quad-core processor in this upcoming revision, which appears to be a serious possibility. However, it doesn’t look Blu-Ray will be in this revision, or at least that’s what I’m hearing from several sources.
