Good notice! Never hid that icon but that's good to know. You wouldn't think that would happen since hiding the icon doesn't get rid of the app, but I guess the way the iPhone is coded it must look to the springboard to launch that extension. Interesting…

This is true of the app store too. When I had my phone jailbroken I used the dock in sbsettings to hide all of my "settings" type apps. When I tried to place the app store under sbsettings, in app links and web links to the app store would error out.
