Well, you obviously need a LogMeIn.com account and you'll need to install the agent on at least one host computer, but the Ignition app will work with the free accounts, so you should be able to use it with no further app costs.

Most of the time I can do without the "bells and whistles" offered by LogMeIn for an outrageous price. Something just to remote into my clients' machines and fix minor issues. I use Techinline (http://www.techinline.com) which I found to be the most affordable out there, although it obviously does not compare to LMI Rescue in terms of the feature-set. "To each his own", I guess..

JaaduVNC for example does this quite well, because it sends the character, not the key code. This problem has been reported on LogMeIn forums months ago and still no update.

I'm using the free version of LogMeIn for some months. It was much better before last update in which they decided to remove groups. The connection time is also much much much longer than VNC or TeamViewer since this update.

Hope it helps.
