Wow…all of us people here need to get a life? Please tell me WHY are u on an iPhone website leaving comments like that? I think you're lucky this site is ran by someone as nice as it is!
But anyways, Ballmer sounds just as dumb as that previous poster. Just attempting to discredit the thing that has been taking craps all over his companies work for the last several years! Lol He has to know that no one believes him!!

"the Internet was designed for the PC"…umm, I thought Al Gore designed it so scientists and miltary folks could swap recipes.

The PC is just one of many tools that take advantage of the Internet. Cars, kitchen appliances, as well as phones use it too. The PC may be better than an iPhone for using the Internet. Is Steve saying all devices that use the Internet, sans the PC, should not be used for this purpose or is he mad that AT&T won't give him a discounted iPhone?

"That’s why they’ve got 75,000 applications – they’re all trying to make the Internet look decent on the iPhone." <– No, most of these 75,000 apps are adding additional and intuitive functionality to an already amazing device that will kick the ass of any WinMo phone, sorry Steve Ballmer.

And by the way, more and more of the Internet IS being designed specifically for the iPhone. Just look at how many websites have iPhone — NOT just mobile, but iPhone — specific web sites. And even non-iPhone specific sites look pretty damn good on an iPhone. Much better than even the best rendering of any website on every WinMo phone I've ever used, which has been a few (yes even a WinMo 6.5 version), so I know the comparison I'm making.

I think Steve Ballmer is just jealous that the California Steve designed a smartphone that everyone desires and loves. In fact, I bet Ballmer secretly loves the iPhone too, and that's why he's trying to bad talk it. He's torn between something he wants, and what his company makes. I bet he has an iPhone in his pocket right now. And he goes home to his iMac and Apple TV! 😀
